Náplň práce

Job Purpose:
This experienced software engineer will participate in the software release engineering process for open source products on Windows, including OpenOffice. In addition some development work for Windows, including porting, will be required. A willingness to learn and ask questions, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to focus on problem resolution are required. This position will work with the development, testing, and documentation teams to deliver and test high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
* Identifying issues and proposing solutions
* Building open source software for Windows
* Deliver high priority customer fixes
* Writing and extending build automation scripts and programs
* Debugging Windows specific issues

Požadujeme

Candidate Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or equivalent and 2 or more years related work experience
* Experience developing in C++
* Experience with cygwin and Linux toolchain (gcc, autoconf, make)
* Experience with Windows Installer technology
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently as well as on a team
* Experience with porting applications between Windows and Linux
* Experience with WebDav
* Experience with .NET/Mono
* Experience with GTK/GNOME
* Experience with various scripting languages - Python/Perl/shell
* Experience work with open source software and communities
